THE STUDIOS

Located In Milwaukee's Fifth Ward, Var Studios is host to 72 artists in residence working across disciplines from drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, film, video, photography, illustration, poetry, spoken word, and mixed-media.  The studios range in size and style, with private studios as well as open concept spaces to accommodate a wide variety of practices. Resident artists have access to a full wood shop and kilns that may be used 24/7.  Our mission is to offer affordable resources for both emerging and established artists, as well as provide a platform to share artwork and exchange ideas within the collective and Milwaukee's expansive arts community.
